Aconveyancing has appointed Ben Davidson as its new managing director, a move the firm says signals ‘a bold new chapter of strategic growth and operational leadership’.
Davidson said his new role will focus on reducing strain between conveyancers and estate agents, with a strong focus on performance.
He commented:

From reading industry press and social media, there are clear examples where the relationships between estate agents and conveyancers are under significant strain due to increased time to exchange, poor service and generic case management systems that seem unable to prioritise or give any freedom to lawyers who are trying to deliver.
“I feel that there is now a fantastic opportunity for Aconveyancing to deliver a service designed for working with estate agents for the benefit of its clients and colleagues with a focus on performance.”
Davidson has a track record in scaling high-performance businesses. As managing director at Simply Conveyancing, he led the firm through a management buyout and oversaw the company’s best performance to date – all while undergoing a period of transformation including the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As MD of Aconveyancing, Davidson has said he will prioritise developing technology to support, rather than remove, people. He explained:
“Aconveyancing has and continues to invest significantly into tech, automation and AI, but we understand that the property industry is a people business, relying on personal communication delivered by professionals.”
“Tech development done right creates the tools to increase productivity, enhance service and therefore serves to enable our colleagues to deliver against company vision. It is not there to remove them from the client journey. The only measures of success which I believe matters are our client, agent and colleagues rates of satisfaction.”
