Moneybox presenter to host SLC Conference

Renowned financial journalist Paul Lewis will form part of the line-up of speakers at the SLC’s annual conveyancing conference, to be held on the 21st November in Derby.

The presenter of Money Box on BBC Radio 4 will be sharing his thoughts on the current state of the property market and introducing the event’s speakers.

There will be presentations from the National House Building Council (NHBC), Ordnance Survey and the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

The CLC, Land Registry and Building Societies Association will also be presenting, along with the SLC itself, which will provide delegates with an update on its lender panel solution, SLC Quality Assured (SLCQA).

Simon Law, Chairman, Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) said: “It’s very important to us that the annual conference provides all attendees with a very relevant and targeted series of updates and presentations, which will assist conveyancers in their day to day business.

“We are delighted that Paul Lewis will be our host for the day. His intrinsic link with the consumer, coupled with his expert knowledge of the financial sector, will offer attendees some valuable insights and food for thought.”

The conference, supported by Gold Sponsor PSG, will run between 9:30 am and 5:00pm at the Riverside Centre in Derby.

The conference is free to SLC members. For non SLC members there will be a charge of £100 per person (refundable for Licensed Conveyancers that join the SLC at the event).

Six CPD points will be available for every attendee. For further information or to book a place at the conference email: mail@conveyancers.org.uk visit: www.conveyancers.org.uk or call the SLC on: 08714 237193.
