Minerva continues to build Lunch & Learn community with three-city autumn tour

Following another successful season of industry Lunch & Learns, Minerva is extending its community-focused programme into the autumn, bringing legal professionals together across Cardiff, York and Birmingham, as well as the surrounding areas.

Each location is hosted at a private dining room at The Ivy Brasserie and supported by trusted partners Elavon and Thirdfort, the new series will centre around The Client Expectation Challenge; a discussion exploring how law firms can balance increasing compliance requirements with the effortless, digital-first experiences clients increasingly expect.

Whilst technology remains part of the conversation, the real focus is on people.

Across the legal sector, firms continue to face many of the same challenges. Clients expect services that are fast, convenient and transparent. Regulatory obligations continue to evolve. Cyber security risks remain ever-present. And yet many firms are tackling these issues in isolation.

Minerva’s Lunch & Learn series was created to change that.

Rather than traditional events built around presentations and product demonstrations, the sessions provide an opportunity for legal professionals to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn from peers facing similar pressures. This community-led approach has seen attendance steadily grow throughout 2026, with firms consistently citing the value of open discussion and practical insight as key reasons for returning. This reflects the format’s emphasis on honest conversation rather than formal presentations or sales agendas.

Ben Mills, chief commercial officer at Law Firm Services, believes creating space for these conversations has never been more important. Minerva, Law Firm Services’ client engagement platform, was designed to help firms turn every client interaction into growth.

“The legal sector is full of talented people solving complex problems every day. What we’re seeing through these Lunch & Learns is a genuine willingness to share knowledge, challenge assumptions and help one another improve. That’s what makes these sessions valuable. The community is shaping the conversation.”

This autumn’s discussions will focus on three interconnected themes:

  • Meeting rising client expectations.
  • Navigating compliance and risk with confidence.
  • Creating secure, connected onboarding and payment journeys.

The inclusion of Elavon and Thirdfort reflects the growing importance of secure payments, identity verification and client trust within the legal onboarding experience. However, the aim remains broader than technology alone. The sessions are designed to explore how firms can improve the overall experience for both clients and internal teams, whilst maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.

For many attendees, the appeal lies in the opportunity to step away from day-to-day pressures and engage with a wider network of professionals who understand the realities of modern legal practice. This aligns with the original purpose of the Lunch & Learn format: creating an easy, relaxed environment where ambitious law firms can connect with like-minded practitioners and industry partners.

The autumn programme will visit:

  • Cardiff | 14 October 2026
  • York | 21 October 2026
  • Birmingham | 4 November 2026

As the Lunch & Learn community continues to grow, Minerva’s ambition remains unchanged: to create meaningful opportunities for legal professionals to connect, collaborate and collectively address the challenges shaping the future of client engagement and client experience.

Because improving the client journey is not something any organisation can achieve alone. It is a challenge best tackled as a community.
