Mincoffs Solicitors has welcomed new appointments amid growth

Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors has welcomed two new appointments to their conveyancing department.

Olly Moore to its corporate team, while Amy-Louise Ions has joined the residential conveyancing department.Originally from Gosforth, Olly trained at a regional law firm based across Lancashire and Cumbria, before moving to the Manchester office of an international law firm where he specialised in restructuring and insolvency.

Now back in the North East, Olly will continue to work within and develop this specialism in his role within the corporate team at Mincoffs.

Olly is the latest new starter in a string of appointments to the corporate team – which is consistently ranked as the region’s number one deal adviser by Experian – including solicitor Connie Lu and paralegal Holly Kirk, with further recruitment planned for the department.

“I’m delighted to be back in the North East and taking up a position in Mincoffs’ corporate team,” said Olly.

“I was attracted to the firm not only for its excellent reputation both locally and nationally, but also by the broad range of transactions Mincoffs is involved in.

“I’ve joined a brilliant team and I look forward to assisting clients with insolvency and restructuring matters in my new role.”

Amy-Louise brings eight years of experience to her new role at Mincoffs, where she will work within the residential conveyancing team and build her own caseload.

Prior to joining the firm, she spent time at inner city North East firms where she gained experience in both residential conveyancing and private client, including advising on wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate.

Amy-Louise has experience in all matters of residential conveyancing- including both freehold and leasehold transactions, auctions, lease extensions, remortgages and equity releases – and she has a key understanding of the personal needs of individual clients.

With more than 30 staff, the residential conveyancing department is one of the largest in the region and works across the full spectrum of residential property matters.

“Working with people is what I do best and is what has driven me to rise within the realm of residential conveyancing,” said Amy-Louise.

“I have a passion for delivering a careful, skilful and compassionate service to a broad range of clients – whether company or individual – and my work has allowed me to build professional relationships with first, second and even third family generations.

“I am delighted to be joining Mincoffs, a firm that holds client care at its heart, and my role will be to add to and support what is already a fantastic and successful residential conveyancing team.”

Paul Hughes, senior partner and head of corporate at Mincoffs, is confident the pair will be assets to their respective teams.

“We are thrilled to welcome Olly and Amy-Louise to Mincoffs during a time of growth for both of their teams as the firm continues to take on new work and expand into new markets and sectors,” he said.

“We are looking forward to building on our existing insolvency and restructuring work with Olly’s specialism in the area, and Amy-Louise will take on her own caseload in the residential conveyancing department to support our growing private client team.

“It’s a really exciting time to join Mincoffs and we have plans for further recruitment across a number of our teams in the coming months.”

Mincoffs Solicitors has provided expert legal services and advice across the North East and beyond for more than 75 years.

Alongside corporate and commercial services, the firm’s offering includes real estate, dispute resolution, employment law, licensing and gaming, residential conveyancing, family law and wills, probate and trusts.
