Michael Day’s Christmas single raises over £2000 for charity

The Christmas single released by Michael Day of Integra Property Services, who celebrated 50 years in the property industry in December, has raised £2,104 for charitable causes.

The original song has had over 1500 streams on music channels including Spotify and Apple Music, with the animated video created by Toby Martin enjoying more than 700 views on You Tube.

The donations for downloads made on the Bandcamp platform are being shared between two charities: Diabetes UK and The Propertmark Trust, of which Day is a trustee.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and I am delighted with the total raised,” Day said.

“We live in a world where streaming has become the main delivery channel for music and, bearing in mind that people could download the track from just £2, to raise in excess of £2000 after platform fees, was an excellent outcome.

“The song may not have troubled Kylie in terms of being the Christmas number one but I have received a lot of wonderful comments about the song, the video and the causes I am supporting.”

As well his career as a sales, management and compliance trainer and estate agency consultant, Day is a regular musician on the local open mic and small gig circuit. His album of 13 original songs, Prodigal Son, is being released at the end of February. His single Sepia Dream is out now, with new single The Dream released on 14 February.
