London-based Cavendish Legal appoint new Relationship Director with ‘unrivalled’ industry experience

Cavendish Legal Group (CLG), a London-based conveyancing solicitors and part of Movera, have appointed Rob Djemil to the newly created role of Relationship Director.

Djemil, described as an individual with ‘unrivalled’ experience, has over three decades of conveyancing knowledge under his belt. He joined CLG in 1997, and was with the company for 12 years before branching out with his own consultancy in 2008. During his tenure as a consultancy head he would advise law firms on how to scoop up new business and maintain clientele against industry rivals by generating higher revenue by increasing conversion rates. Movera Group describe these skills as integral to their future expansion plans.

Craig Underwood, Group Chief Operating Officer at Movera, commented:

“Rob brings a fantastic track record in the industry and an in-depth knowledge of CLG to this new role. We look forward to seeing him grow CLG’s relationships.”

Djemil’s practice has extended to mortgage brokers, housing associations, estate agents and house builders. His track record also includes building and managing a direct sales team. Djemil will now be re-joining CLG as they aim to grow the business, and will be reporting directly to Mark Tosetti, Movera’s Group Partnerships Director.

The new relationship lead’s aim is to enable the ambition of CLG’s Partners and Referrers to ‘transform the home moving market by delivering unique market leading propositions to their clients.’

The Director’s specific responsibilities will be in relationship management, proposition development and business growth across the UK home moving sector including the shared ownership, estate agency, broker and new build segments. It is anticipated he will work closely and collaborate across the wider Movera business to leverage key elements such as marketing, commercial and change to further differentiate CLG’s offering, adds Underwood.

Djemil spoke of a new role at his old company, saying:

“I can’t wait to continue to expand our business further into the shared ownership and estate agency sectors and build on our valuable existing introducer and referrer relationships. In collaboration, we will transform our industry by providing a level of service and communication that is unrivalled, in service to all those we represent. I’m so fortunate to have this opportunity and to have the support of brilliant people including Movera’s Executive team.”

Speaking on Djemil re-joining CLG, Tosetti said:

“Rob’s industry knowledge and experience is invaluable to Movera in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, enabling stronger partnerships, and collaborations with key market stakeholders. His depth of experience and expertise is unrivalled across the wider home moving market.”

Movera, which says it has over 600 employees and an average output of 300k conveyancing transactions per year, rebranded last year to bring together seven home moving brands from across the sector. Movera say they are ‘committed to transforming the homebuying experience by creating moving and re-mortgaging experiences to be celebrated not tolerated.’ Brands include ONP Solicitors, CLG, Grindeys Conveyancing, LMS, Conveyancing Alliance (CAL) and Lavatech, creator of inCase. Each company operates independently but enabled and supported by Movera and its platform.
