The British Conveyancing Awards is delighted to announced conveyancing technology platform LMS as the sponsor of the pre- and post-awards events, which will be held in Manchester on 12 March.
The awards, which see the return of environmental data and property due diligence search provider Groundsure as headline sponsor, recognise and celebrate the work of conveyancers and the wider property sector. The LMS-sponsored BCA Prelude and BCA After Party bookend the evening’s proceedings, in which the conveyancing community will come together to recognise excellence and expertise across 22 carefully curated categories.
Following a series of sell-out events in London, this year the gala dinner moves north to Manchester Cathedral, where over 450 practitioners are expected to join the celebrations, hosted by impressionist, comedian and actor Jon Culshaw.
Judging for the awards is reaching its conclusion, with the shortlist set to be published on Monday 26 January. Each entry is scrutinised by a panel of experts drawn from across the conveyancing and property sectors to arrive at the shortlists and winners. The stringent criteria is designed to challenge firms to really think about how and why they should be recognised. Those who are successful proudly display their achievements on websites, social media channels, emails and in printed collateral to showcase to clients their peer recognition.
Nick Chadbourne, LMS CEO (pictured), commented on the company’s support for the awards:
“The British Conveyancing Awards are one of the highlights of the legal calendar and widely recognised both within the profession, and beyond, for a commitment to recognising the very best of this incredible community. A British Conveyancing Award is a mark of excellence and we are delighted to be part of an event which echoes our own ethos of driving up standards in the sector.”
Best known for facilitating the relationship between lenders and conveyancers, LMS is investing heavily in its new National Property Transaction Network (NPTN); a collaborative, open source tool that will provide the backbone to the integration of the disparate elements of the property transaction.
NPTN will bring together lenders, estate agents, conveyancers and home movers to harness the digitisation each individual sector has implemented, to create smoother journeys for all contributors to the transaction.
Chadbourne explained:
“Each individual part of the property market has undergone its own digitisation journey; the missing element to creating a smoother flow of information through the course of the transaction is tool which connects these disparate elements.
“This is how NPTN works; it sits as the facilitation layer for the whole array of technology solutions available to the market to plug into, in a completely open and transparency way, to enable different technologies to speak to one another more effectively, and harness the work being done to digitise the home moving process”
