Recognised proof of law firms taking steps to prevent fraud on behalf of their clients is evident through conveyancing fraud experts and risk management specialists, Lawyer Checker, sponsor of this year’s LFS Awards.  Lawyer Checker will also be the proud host of the brand new Regulation and Compliance session. With 5 years’ experience within this niche sector, operating in the area of the conveyancing transaction which is most pertinent, nearly 200,000 searches have been completed within this time and this figure surges with each passing month.

An ever-increasing user base, growing relationship with registered firms and continuing internal improvements have increased usage by 300% from 2014 to 2015. This provides assurances to your client that adherence to Principle 10 is in place and allows you provide a report to show what steps are being taken to protect yourself and your clients from potential fraudulent activity. The fact that the fee is a disbursement and results are produced immediately, only add further value to the due diligence being performed.

Richard Mathias, Sales Director at Law Firm Services said: “There are multiple reasons to enter the LFS Awards; the chance to become a part of the most established and well regarded awards evening for the conveyancing sector, fantastic marketing opportunities for winning firms and a robust judging process which includes a mystery shop, compliance check and a judge’s telephone interview to name just a few.

“Lawyer Checker are an ideal host for the Regulation & Compliance session due to their vast knowledge within the sector. Part of the application process, which is the most thorough application and judging process within the legal sector, covers what steps firms are taking on behalf of their clients to prevent fraud. Lawyer Checker’s role within the conveyancing sector has helped to increase awareness and recognition of fraud.”
