Last chance to book SLC road shows

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) has announced that places for its late summer road shows are filling up fast.

Anyone who has not yet booked is advised to do so now. The regional road shows, run in conjunction with Legal Eye, will start on 10th September in Dartford, followed by events in Peterborough, Sheffield and Bristol.

Free for SLC members and extremely reasonably priced for other legal professionals with four CPD points on offer, attendees will be able to access a host of very relevant topical updates on issues ranging from: the future of CLC regulation; marketing and selling conveyancing services; flood proofing homes and the many complexities surrounding legal compliance, presented by compliance experts themselves, Legal Eye.

Simon Law, Chairman of the Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) said: “The regional road shows have been proving popular.

“We have had lots of interest from both conveyancers and other legal professionals so I would encourage you to book your place now if you don’t want to miss out.

“These road shows are directly tailored to our profession, covering a wide range of interesting topics.

"By partnering with Legal Eye we hope to offer attendees the additional benefit of Legal Eye’s knowledge and expertise.”

The dates and the locations for the SLC’s September road shows:

– Tuesday 10th September – Thistle Hotel, Dartford

– Wednesday 11th September — Peterborough Football Club, Peterborough

– Tuesday 17th September — Novotel, Sheffield

– Thursday 19th September — Mercure, Bristol

Non-members are invited to attend the sessions, at a cost of £75 per person (refundable for those that join the SLC at the event).

Solicitors, legal executives and other legal professionals are welcome to join the Society as Associate Members and can offset the cost of the road shows against their membership.

Those interested in attending one of the regional road shows are advised to book now by visiting www.conveyancers.org.uk emailing info@conveyancers.org.uk or calling the SLC on 08714 237193.
