Landmark and OrdoLux complete one-day integration following LSSA meeting

A conversation between Landmark and OrdoLux at a Legal Software Suppliers Association members’ meeting has led to a new integration between their legal technology platforms, completed in one day.

The collaboration connects OrdoLux’s cloud-native legal software with Landmark’s Contract Pack Vault, helping conveyancers prepare and share contract packs with less duplicate data entry.

The relationship developed after Rob Gurney of Landmark presented Contract Pack Vault (CPV) to LSSA members. Avi Gordon of OrdoLux recognised how it could complement his company’s software, and the two began discussing a potential integration.

Preparing and sharing a contract pack is an established part of conveyancing. CPV checks packs for missing or incorrect information before the documents are shared securely.

The integration allows matter information and documents held in OrdoLux to flow directly into CPV. This adds specialist contract-pack functionality to OrdoLux and connects Landmark’s technology with another legal case management system.

Avi said, “Our aim is for OrdoLux to be the first system a lawyer opens each morning, but it cannot be the only system they use. Third-party integrations are therefore an important part of our plans.

“In fixed-price conveyancing, saving even five, ten or 15 minutes on each transaction becomes meaningful across a firm’s caseload.”

OrdoLux and CPV both use modern APIs, while matter documents in OrdoLux are stored in Microsoft sharepoint. The OrdoLux team received answers to its technical queries from Landmark within one or two hours, enabling the integration to be completed in a day.

Rob said, “Our research showed that firms wanted contract pack creation and population automated within their case management system, while they were happy to carry out the AI-powered analysis within CPV.

“The collaboration also shows the value of meeting other LSSA members in person. I don’t think the same conversation would necessarily have happened over Teams.”

The Landmark collaboration is OrdoLux’s third partnership with an LSSA member, with early discussions taking place with a fourth.

Kevin Horlock, CEO of the LSSA, said, “LSSA members bring different expertise and technology to the Association. Meeting in person allows them to identify complementary strengths and develop collaborations that improve how law firms work.”
