Conveyancers and those around the home-moving industry are gearing up for the inaugural National Conveyancing Week which will run from 20th March-24th March 2023. Following the release of the agenda, conveyancers and suppliers have been getting ready with their own events throughout the week to shine a positive light on the conveyancing sector.
Over 100 firms have pledged their support for National Conveyancing Week alongside over 30 sponsors who have generously provided financial support to subsidise the costs of activity throughout the week.
One of the key themes of the week is collaboration and fostering better relationships with referrers, and on Wednesday 22nd March, law firms are invited to open their doors for a Collaboration Coffee Morning in aid of The Conveyancing Foundation. Conveyancers are encouraged to invite estate agents, brokers and other referrers into their offices to showcase the work they do. Promotional boxes will shortly be available for all supporters which will include collateral to support National Conveyancing Week.
Throughout the week, alongside the published agenda, a series of “TED-style” talks will be published discussing a range of topics from around the property sector.
And the conveyancing community has been encouraged to undertake its own events in line with National Conveyancing Week, which can then be showcased through the website and social channels.
Firms have already shared plans around “lunch and learn” and “meet the team” events throughout the week with presentations on leaseholds, lenders, indemnity insurance, SDLT, AML. etc. While others have indicated they will be releasing dedicated educational content alongside webinars and other networking events to embrace the initiative.
Rob Hailstone, CEO of the Bold Legal Group and organiser of National Conveyancing Week says:
“I’ve been delighted with the enthusiasm and interest in National Conveyancing Week from the conveyancing community. Firms are really getting into the spirit of the event and buying into the key objectives around raising the profile of conveyancing across the home moving process.
There’s still time to show you support so please do get in touch. Support conveyancers, support conveyancing, and support yourselves!”
