Conveyancers brought the house down as The British Conveyancing Awards 2023, sponsored by Groundsure, crowned its unsung superheroes at the hybrid event last night.
With 400 in attendance at the fabulous 8 Northumberland Avenue, and over 500 watching along via the live stream, the attendance was a record for the awards which are in just their third year.

Big winners on the night include InfoTrack who scooped three awards including Technology Enabler of the Year (sponsored by Armalytix) and Legal Supplier of the Year (sponsored by The Society of Licensed Conveyancers). Shoosmiths also capped a memorable evening, taking home Best Place to Work (Sponsored by Valafy), Residential Conveyancing Team of the Year (Sponsored by PEXA), and Conveyancing Firm of the Year – National (sponsored by LMS).
In the hotly contested categories of Law Firm Innovator (Sponsored by Dye & Durham) and Customer Service Champion (Sponsored by PracticeEvolve) AVRillo LLP and Birketts LLP came out on top respectively.
2023 also saw a raft of new categories introduced to ensure the Awards remain in touch with the very latest developments in the industry.
Alongside the Risk and Compliance Champion introduced in 2022 – this year sponsored by Ochresoft and won by Harry Shortis of BDB Pitmans – Risk and Compliance Support Service of the Year (sponsored by Thirdfort) has been introduced to recognise both the individuals and services that exemplify the profession’s fastidious approach to compliance.
Conveyancing Support Team Member of the Year (sponsored by tmgroup) has been introduced to recognise the unsung heroes who sit behind the most successful conveyancing teams; the support staff in the trenches day in day out, ensuring smooth client communications, supporting the conveyancing team, and ensuring that transactions remain on track. Aconveyancing’s Leah Leach took home the prize on the night with notable mentions to Siobhan O’Connor of Howell-Jones LLP and Rose Metcalfe of BSG Solicitors.
The final award of the evening was presented by Richard Matthias of Minerva, the winner of the inaugural Today’s Conveyancer Industry Champion as sponsor of the category this year. Scott Bozinis, CEO of InfoTrack, took home the coveted prize which was nominated and voted for entirely by the conveyancing industry, with over 1,000 votes cast across the five nominees.
