Groundsure and Serac Technologies’ strategic partnership promises ‘quantum leap’ in data accuracy issues faced in conveyancing

A new conveyancing partnership between a climate insights authority and a tech company provides to be a fruitful legal-tech union designed to ‘set a new bar in data quality’.

Groundsure, a UK environmental and climate insights authority, has announced that it has entered into a new strategic relationship with Serac Technologies, a tech company that delivers local authority data analysis for SME and enterprise property and construction clients.

The relationship is said to ‘set a new bar in the quality and accuracy of data used in property transaction due diligence’. A critical issue faced by home-movers and business owners, is understanding the latest available data. This includes planning applications that proximity to the desired property and this can be a key factor in whether a buyer will proceed with the transaction.

The CEO of Groundsure has stated that conveyancers and real estate lawyers ‘want clarity through data’, and the merge with Serac Technologies promises a combination of both tech and environmental expertise which could potentially ease transaction issues marred by lack of data understanding.

Commented Malcolm Smith, CEO of Groundsure said: “Conveyancers and commercial real estate lawyers want clarity through accurate property data and to have trust and confidence in the data in search reports for their client. This is an exciting new relationship that is built on mutual collaboration, utilising new technologies and data analyses alongside our combined expertise. We pride ourselves on leading the way in the market and this will be another clear example of how we deliver real innovation for our clients.”

Bosses at Serac Technologies have issued similar sentiments, saying the collaboration will be providing ‘next generation insights that will be a quantum leap for timeliness and accuracy’.

Brandon Johnson, CEO of Serac Technologies commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Groundsure to develop next generation insights and data that underpin property transactions. This will be a quantum leap in terms of timeliness and accuracy that will enable better outcomes for homebuyers and other stakeholders. It is a real meeting of minds and technical acumen. We recognised very early on a clear common desire to innovate and harness new technologies to deliver the best quality data on the market.”

Both organisations say they will work closely together to ‘refine and integrate data in Groundsure’s leading residential and commercial environmental search reports in the coming months’.
