The recently launched environmental search provider GeoCerta has been announced as the latest member of search trade body The Conveyancing Information Executive (CIE), which represents property due diligence and search providers.
Launched by former Groundsure CEO Dan Montagnani, GeoCerta describes itself as the “next generation of environmental search intelligence for conveyancers” and says its environmental risk reports deliver “meaningful interpretation, practical guidance and clear recommendations that help property lawyers act with confidence”.
Kevin Brown, CIE director, said of the membership: “It is great news to welcome GeoCerta as a new member to CIE. GeoCerta is not unfamiliar with the high standards set by CIE, as the CEO and founder of GeoCerta, Dan Montanagni, was a founding member of CIE in 2020 when he was CEO of Groundsure.
“As a newly formed business, GeoCerta joins CIE adopting the high level of standards required in delivering newly designed reports to the industry. We welcome Dan and GeoCerta into CIE as a new entrant to the market.”
Montanagni said: “GeoCerta is excited to join CIE as an associate member. Our business has been founded on extensive expertise in environmental searches, with a commitment to raising standards through trusted data, clear reporting and exceptional customer service.
“The values championed by CIE closely reflect our own, and we look forward to working alongside fellow members to support the continued evolution of high-quality search information for the property sector.”
The CIE welcomes membership applications from all organisations that support the UK’s conveyancing industry and adopt the highest industry data standards.
