Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy has appointed a new partner in its growing residential property team, while Midlands legal services business Wright Hassall has welcomed three new starters. And in Warwick, Moore & Tibbits has expanded into 12,000 square feet of modern office space to accommodate the 20 new fee-earning staff it aims to add to its team.
Denise Stradling, based in Blandy & Blandy’s Henley-on-Thames office, has more than 15 years’ experience in all aspects of residential property. ‘I am delighted to have joined Blandy & Blandy as a partner, at an exciting point for the residential property team and our Henley-on-Thames office’, Stradling said.
“I look forward to working with our clients, leading estate agents and other professional contacts in the area and to supporting our continued growth.”
She joins the expanding team shortly after Alexa McQueen Turner was welcomed as partner, following the firm’s acquisition of McQueen Turner Solicitors. Senior solicitor Angela Badcock also recently joined Blandy & Blandy’s ranks.

Partner and team head Manisha Bhula said of the new appointments:
“It is fantastic to welcome Denise to our busy team, having also recently welcomed Alexa and Angela. Having worked in and around Henley for many years, Denise’s significant experience will be of great benefit to our clients and contacts.”
At Leamington-based Wright Hassall, Ben McCosker and James Frost have been appointed as senior associates and Gemma Trencher joins as associate. McCosker is a solicitor advocate and will work with the property litigation team and Frost has been welcomed to the commercial property team. Trencher joins the corporate team and will specialise in corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions and restructuring.

Phil Wilding, managing partner of Wright Hassall, said:
“It is fantastic to welcome Ben, James and Gemma to the business. They each bring exceptional expertise and a proven track record, strengthening our ability to deliver outstanding legal solutions to clients across multiple sectors.
“Their appointments reflect our commitment to attracting top-tier talent as we continue to deliver the very best service to our clients.”
Warwick firm Moore & Tibbits, which has been providing law services for almost 200 years, has combined its operations from two bases – High Street and Westgate House – to take on 50% more space in a single Westgate House location to accommodate its expanding team.
With 12,000 square feet of modern office space and a 10-year lease, the firm hopes to attract at least 20 new fee-earners to add to the 80-strong team of conveyancers, business lawyers, and specialists in health, welfare and private client services.

Partner James Williams commented:
“Our connection to Warwick is part of who Moore & Tibbits are – we’re essentially a high street law firm that has grown organically in recent years. The new space gives us 4,000 extra square feet compared to our previous two-office arrangement, meaning we will be able to easily accommodate new staff as we continue to grow.
“It will allow us to retain that close connection with Warwick that defines us as a firm, while also allowing us to modernise without leaving the town.”
