Fast-track conveyancing service aims to beat Christmas deadline

A conveyancing firm has introduced a guaranteed move-by-Christmas service, complete with refunds for failure to do so.

Muve has introduced a new service called MuveFast Festive designed to get home movers into their new homes by 22nd December 2023. Described as “fast-track conveyancing service” and will aim to complete the conveyancing process in time for Christmas provided they are instructed by October 31st for Leasehold or November 13th for Freehold properties.

Home movers instruct Muve and can opt for the additional MuveFast Festive service for an additional fee of £600+VAT. The service includes a comprehensive search report with an insurance policy to avoid any search-related delays and in the event the completion date of 22nd December 2023 is unable to be met, Muve say they will refund the additional fee in full.

When challenged on the terms and conditions by this publication CEO David Jabbari confirmed there was no “catch,” suggesting that 85% of cases in 2022 completed on time and the remainder received relevant refunds.

“The combination of the Bank of England’s decision not to increase the base rate and some better deals on fixed mortgage rates is a positive for prospective homeowners in terms of affordability.

Our MuveFast Festive service is designed to complement this by taking some uncertainty out of the timeline for a move. This will generate greater stability in the housing market, especially as we draw closer to the end of the year. There will be less uncertainty and fewer holdups in the closing stages of transactions, allowing those wanting to move to be settled before Christmas Day.”

Added Jabbari.

  1. Its schemes like this that really make a joke of this industry.

    Rule 1 – manage expectations.

Charging clients £600 + VAT for insurance is a complete scam

  2. What a complete con and fluffy marketing. All words. Anybody can do this. I wouldn’t mind but all we hear is how slow Muve are so they will probably be refunding a lot of clients!

  3. Given that every time I call Muve the call disconnects as soon as it gets to the end of the pre-recorded message and I have sent multiple emails without a response, I foresee a lot of refunds.

  4. Oh dear! But it’s so hard to deal with Muve! They email incessantly and then don’t answer any enquiries properly.
