ETSOS launch new online information ordering portal for conveyancers – 6th July 2010

A firm in Lancaster whose staff have previously worked for many years for a search franchise organisation have set up ETSOS a one stop shop for property professionals offering a single point of sale ordering platform for:-

–         Official Local Authority Searches
–         Personal Local Authority Searches
–         Land Registry Documents
–         Anti money laundering products
–         Planning searches
–         Utility Searches
–         Drainage and Water Searches
–         Energy Performance Certificates
–         Fire risk assessments
–         Air conditioning surveys
–         Asbestos surveys
–         Lease plans
–         Floor plans
–         Virtual tours

–         Company searches

–         etc

A variety of payment methods and terms are available.

The founders of ETSOS (“Estate Technical Solutions On-line Services”)  have worked within the search delivery sector for many years and concluded that there was a lack of reliable, well placed ordering systems on the market to save conveyancers time and money.

The pricing structures offer discounts from the main list prices of searches like Landmarks environmental searches but where a handling fee is charged for searches like official local authority searches they are lower than similar charges typically charged by some of the official search ordering services.

ETSOS believe that conveyancers in the past have wasted time and money by having to go to a number of different companies to order searches and other information. In many cases conveyancers would have to pay a premium rates. By using collective buying power and a “one stop shop” approach ETSOS claim their services is more efficient use of conveyancers time and that they are able to pass on pricing benefits.

Today’s Conveyancer has yet to see a live demonstration of the service in a live environment however we have looked at their online demonstration which does appear to be slicker than other systems we have seen. ETSOS say “The system, which is simple and easy to use, is supported by ‘real life’ account managers who are UK based and available to answer any enquiries or day to day queries.  This ‘ease to use’ coupled with the fact that ETSOS is less expensive and faster than any other system available on the market makes the offering one of its kind.”

ETSOS also offers a free boundary marking tool so there is no need to pay for plans which is unique to any other offering on the market.

Philip Natusch, Managing Director comments; “Having researched the market, I could see a clear gap for an on-line service which was really simple to use.  People are put off web based solutions if they are complicated and difficult.  I wanted to combine ease of use with a really competitive price — basically something that was not currently out there.  I have made sure that ETSOS uses the latest cutting edge technology so that we can provide our customers with a quality service at a market beating price.”

New customers have been quick to compliment the system.  Duncan Rawlinson, Head of Residential Conveyancing at Linder Myers comments; “ETSOS is an excellent online system that is easy to use and reports are delivered quickly and efficiently.  I can order everything from standard conveyancing searches to EPCs, Company searches, AML searches and even Land Registry products all on one website.  Our dedicated Account Manager has always been available if I’ve needed to pick up the phone and ask a quick question.  In this age, it makes a real difference to know that I have a totally personal service combined with fantastic online platform.”

Chris Cheesman, Cheesman & Co comments; “We have found ETSOS online search ordering platform to be extremely useful.  The system enables us to order all required reports online and delivers the searches back to us electronically.  We particularly like the ‘favourites tab’ which enables us to order a set of searches at the touch of one button.  This saves us time and ultimately money.”

Philip Natusch, along with many of the ETSOS team, has over 20 years experience in the IT and property sector. ETSOS have recently sponsored the Birmingham Law Society AGM .  ETSOS is also hosting four key CPD seminars in the Midlands and North West.  Landmark Information Group and ETSOS will provide presentations on issues affecting the property market from a legal practitioner’s point of view. (See notes to editors for seminar dates)

At a recent CPD seminar in Birmingham, James Sherwood-Rogers,  Managing Director of Landmark said “Landmark Information Group is the market leader in the field of property related environmental risk information and digital mapping, quality data and reports are our foundation and this means we select only to work with respected organisations”
