It has been three weeks since our last CTS Cyber Update, and CTS have provided Today’s Conveyancer with a statement this morning confirming the latest position.
Close to 80 firms were impacted by the cyber attack, with different levels of problems arising, from limited or no access to emails, to being unable to exchange or complete.
CTS have been in the fourth and final stage of the restoration of their systems for 3 weeks now, with some firms still not operational.
Upon asking for an update, a spokesperson for CTS provided to Today’s Conveyancer:
“Since the cyber incident, we have had team of experts working around the clock to assist us in safely restoring our systems. From the outset, we set out a four-phase plan to get us up and running and our expectation is that by the end of the week more than 90% of impacted clients will be either operational or in final testing. Work will be ongoing over the festive period and we will continue to keep clients and the regulators updated.”
Today’s Conveyancer know from the comments received how many of you have been impacted by this, and we will be asking for a further update in the New Year, and to see if the 90% target was reached by tomorrow, Friday 22nd December 2023.
