The annual LawShare conference returns to the five-star Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 9th October, covering pertinent issues surrounding the running of a law firm.
The conference has welcomed a variety of speakers in previous years including Law Society Gazette Deputy News Editor John Hyde, and Shaun Wallace – known as ‘The Dark Destroyer’ from the TV show The Chase – last year.
This year the conference welcomes Mr Pete Weatherby KC as the keynote speaker. Ranked ‘Band 1’ in Chambers & Partners and a Tier 1 leading silk, Wetherby has appeared in the highest of courts domestically and internationally, and in some of the most high profile and important cases of our time. He is currently leading the team representing 7,000 bereaved families at the UK Covid inquiry.
Wetherby will discuss his work on cases including the Hillsborough inquiry, Reggie Kray, the Manchester Arena inquiry, the first pardon ever issued to a British citizen convicted in a foreign jurisdiction, and much more besides.
The day will culminate in the traditional evening dinner and drinks reception with ample opportunity to network with fellow professionals.
