Coodes Head of Residential Property finalist for BCAwards2024

Coodes Solicitors has been shortlisted for a national award. Sarah Cowley, Head of Residential Property, is a finalist in the category Outstanding Business Leader of the Year at the national British Conveyancing Awards 2024.

The firm, established in 1747, has eight offices across Cornwall and Devon and is recognised as a leading law firm in both the Legal 500 and UK Chambers and Partners guides.

The British Conveyancing Awards, brought to you by legal publishers Today’s Media, aim to celebrate the excellence across the conveyancing profession. The awards ceremony will be held on 12 March as part of National Conveyancing Week, designed to raise the profile of conveyancing across the property sector.

Sarah Cowley has been shortlisted in the category of Outstanding Business Leader of the Year recognising her excellence in creative culture building, leadership, communication and business growth. As part of the submission, Kathryn Shaw, an Associate in the team said:

“It’s difficult to articulate the extent of the positive impact having Sarah as Department Manager has had. We’re supported, treated with fairness and encouraged to excel. Sarah is an absolute inspiration and I hope one day to be the type of manager that she is.”

This is the latest plaudit for Coodes after the Family Team received ‘highly commended’ at the National Family Awards in the category of Family Law Team of the Year two weeks ago. Prior to that, the Clinical Negligence Team were shortlisted for the Clinical Negligence Team of the Year at the Personal Injury Awards last year, alongside Partner and Department Head Rachel Pearce for Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year. The firm also won at the South West Masters Awards 2023 in the Medium Business Category.
