The Conveyancing Foundation Welcomes Checkboard as new charity partner

The Conveyancing Foundation has announced a new partnership with Checkboard, a leader in onboarding and verification solutions.

This collaboration is a welcome addition to the Foundation’s efforts to support charitable causes and promote wellbeing best practices within the conveyancing industry.

Checkboard streamlines onboarding with KYC, AML, Biometric ID, and Source of Funds verification, covering address and ID verification in over two hundred jurisdictions. They provide transaction-specific data to help professionals identify risks and expedite compliance, with daily monitoring offering alerts within a year for peace of mind. Yazad Bajina, Director of Sales and Partnerships at Checkboard, shared:

“The Conveyancing Foundation is an amazing initiative that allows the property industry to help support those in need. Members have supported various charities such as the British Red Cross, Comic Relief, and Save the Children, to name just a few. After speaking with the Foundation team, we knew it was a no-brainer to sign up as a partner and work alongside them – we can’t wait to support these charities!”

This partnership underscores both organisations’ dedication to making a positive social impact. Checkboard’s involvement will undoubtedly boost the Foundation’s capacity to support a wide array of charitable initiatives, from disaster relief efforts to educational programs and community development projects. Jess Smith, COO and Trustee of the Conveyancing Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the new partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Checkboard as our new charity partner.

We welcome them because of their commitment to change through charitable causes, which aligns perfectly with our mission to support the property industry while aiding those in need. We look forward to working together to support various charitable causes and promote best practices within the industry.”

As an official partner of the Conveyancing Foundation, Checkboard will join others in the industry in setting wellbeing standards and best practices. The team is committed to supporting the Foundation’s aims, including supporting and promoting initiatives such as the successful national ‘Be Kind We Care’ (BKWC) initiative, which encourages kindness among professionals and promotes better mental health through practical resources and the Wellbeing at Work Survey, which provides valuable insights into current workplace wellbeing challenges and opportunities.

Checkboard will be a partner in the Foundation’s Charity Grant Scheme, launched in early 2023. This scheme allows individuals and businesses in the conveyancing sector to apply for charity funding to support worthy initiatives. In 2024, the Foundation extended its Charity Grant scheme to offer funding for Mental Health First Aider training to firms within the conveyancing profession and property sector.

The Conveyancing Foundation has raised over £1 million for charity since its launch in 2010, supporting causes such as Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, the Wallich (homelessness charity in South Wales), Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
