Conveyancing Association announce date and theme for 2026 Annual Conference

Conveyancing representative body The Conveyancing Association (CA) has announced the date and theme of its 2026 Annual Conference which is to be held at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Birmingham.

Taking place on Thursday 12th February next year the Conference is entitled, ‘Conveyancing Under The Spotlight’, with reflections and analysis on how conveyancing firms and stakeholders can forge strong relationships and collaborate to achieve better outcomes. Landmark Information Group will return as the Headline Sponsor of the event.

The CA say a full list of sessions will be announced shortly, and delegates can expect to hear from directly from consumers, key stakeholders, and property professionals across the home-moving sector, in order to explore opportunities for improvement, both through greater operational efficiency and better communication among all parties involved in the process.

CA Board Director Chair Eddie Goldsmith will host the event with Economics Editor of The Sunday Times, David Smith confirmed as key note speaker. Other speakers and panellists already confirmed include: David Opie – Managing Director of Today’s Media; Paula Higgins – Chief Executive of the HomeOwners Alliance; and Kate Faulkner – property expert and Chair of the Home Buying and Selling Council.

The Conference open to all CA member firms, legal and affiliate, and attendance can also be secured for non-members for a charge.

Nicky Heathcote, Non-Executive Chair of The Conveyancing Association, said:

“Next year our Annual Conference will provide the perfect opportunity to take stock of where we are as a conveyancing sector and to look ahead at how we can continue to raise standards and deliver a better home moving experience for all.

“Our 2026 theme, ‘Conveyancing Under The Spotlight’, reflects our commitment to listening to what consumers, stakeholders, and our own members are saying, and using those insights to drive further improvement.

“I’m delighted that we’ll be joined by such a strong line-up of speakers and sponsors once again, this time at a brand new venue at The Belfry, and look forward to another day of lively debate, practical ideas, and collaboration. More details on the full programme of sessions for the Conference will follow shortly.”

A post-Conference Drinks Reception and the Charity Dinner which will take place in the evening and will once again be raising money for a worthy cause.

  1. So all proper conveyancers will be watching this Conference with great interest to see whether there is any mention of how the CA are going to improve the standards of those factories that make up the bulk of their membership? Very strange that such an issue is never mentioned by them in press releases or in person?
