Conveyancer sanctioned by SRA

A conveyancer has been sanctioned by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) after signing Land Registry transfer deeds, saying she had witnessed their signature when she had not.

Elise Daley currently works at DWF LLP according to her LinkedIn profile, but was working at Chadwick Lawrence LLP between 9th July 2012 and 28th June 2013 when the incident occurred.

At an SRA Hearing in November 2015, she admitted to signing a Land Registry transfer deed saying she had witnessed her clients’ signatures when she had in fact not.

Ms Daley has worked in the legal profession for 11 years having first began her career as a Property Executive in 2004 with Clarke Wilmott.

Ms Daley was ordered to pay £600 costs as well as made subject to a section 43 order, meaning she cannot be employed by an SRA regulated body without the written consent of the SRA.
