Complete and Correct Applications to HMLR – CLC Webinars

The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) have announced a series of webinars to be hosted in conjunction with HMLR to tackle what it describes as the ‘variable quality of title registration applications across the regulated community.’

The CLC’s 2024 Risk Agenda identified requisitions as an area of focus for the regulator in 2025 and has said it is important firms tackle excessive levels (requisitions in anything above 5% of applications) and take steps to improve accuracy.

“Timely and accurate title registration is vital to serve the interests of buyers and lenders. It will also save time and money and will contribute to the reduction of delays at HM Land Registry.”

say the CLC. The webinars, which are for CLC practitioners, will focus on advising practitioners how to avoid some of the most common mistakes. They will be useful for anyone who is involved in preparing applications and professionals are encouraged to attend both sessions. Click on the links below to join.

There will be time for questions in the sessions, but HMLR will not be able to deal with individual cases. These sessions will be useful for all CLC practices. Each session carries one hour of CPD points.
