Collaborative Conveyancing strengthens team moving into 2025

Award-winning conveyancing technology provider Collaborative Conveyancing has kicked off 2025 with the appointment their latest new hire as they look to build on their success since launching in 2024

The business, which was founded by Lawyer Checker founder Chris Harris, and former Easier2Move MD Karen Babington, launched its Enquiry Manager product last year to ‘streamline the conveyancing process by identifying, extracting, and producing structured responses to enquiries, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing administrative burdens for conveyancers’ using AI-driven modelling.

In September 2024 Collaborative Conveyancing appointed Tom Rhodes as Digital Marketing Specialist. A seasoned B2B marketer with a strong background in professional services gained during his time at the Citation Group and other SaaS businesses. His skills and experience position him perfectly to elevate Collaborative Conveyancing’s marketing strategy, enhancing the company’s digital presence and strengthening its brand visibility.

Shortly thereafter in October Jess Antrobus joined the business as Operational Support Manager. With a background in legal services and conveyancing from her time spent at Lawyer Checker and Convey-Assist, Jess ensures things run smoothly behind the scenes and is one of the first points of contact for clients, responsible for service excellence.

Collaborative Conveyancing teamed up with Movera and LMS to deliver Enquiry Manager through the respective businesses which saw Rui Sousa, one of Movera’s Senior Technical Leads and Solutions Architect join on an interim basis in November 2024 as the business searched for a full-time Chief Technology Officer. Renowned for his technical expertise and strategic leadership, Rui plays a pivotal role in sustaining the company’s momentum on critical projects. With a career spanning the UK, Portugal, and Silicon Valley in the USA, Rui has led high-performing teams at globally recognised organisations, including BPP, Enjoy Technology, and Millennium bcp.

The search for a full-time Chief Technology Officer concluded in December with the appointment of Russ Wicks who joined following a career in leading technical teams, driving innovation, and delivering scalable solutions with organisations such as RDT Limited, Equal Experts and Greenhous Group Limited.

Completing the new additions in January 2025, Lindsay Petzer joined as Key Relationship Manager responsible for managing client relationships and fostering partnerships. Lindsay previously worked for Lawyer Checker and most recently at AML and KYC solutions provider Checkboard.

Operations Director Gemma Felstead said of the new additions,

“Bringing in Tom, Jess, Rui, Russ and Lindsay has significantly strengthened our team, each bringing unique skills and perspectives that align perfectly with our vision. With expanded capabilities in sales, marketing, development and customer success, we’re poised to make a significant impact as we launch Enquiry Manager to the wider conveyancing market in early 2025.”

adding,

“We also extend our gratitude to Movera for allowing Rui Sousa to contribute his expertise during this transitional period. Rui’s insights have been invaluable, and we’re incredibly thankful for his time and contributions.”

  1. Lots of talk of technology and fancy titles. But I do not actually see any details of conveyancing credentials for any of these people.
How many years of actual legal experience do they have dealing with clients and running conveyancing files?

    1. A blend of people who bring skills and experience not prevalent in the sector, combined with folks who have long standing and deep upstanding of Conveyancing is a helpful balance. I am surprised you instinctively you assume this can’t be a helpful formula.
