Cheshire-based law firm, Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors has launched their eponymous charitable foundation, established to ‘create a lasting impact, ensuring that organisations within the community receive the support and resources that they need.’
The firm say they have been longstanding supporters of charity and the Bell Lamb & Joynson Foundation is an opportunity give back to the community beyond simple access to justice and the provision of legal services
Speaking at the launch event, hosted at Malmaison Hotel in Liverpool, Managing Partner, Mike Leeman said the firm, which was established in 1821, has a ‘deep-rooted connection to the community’ and explained how the Foundation will help the firm to extend its impact even further. The Foundation will enable the firm to channel its commitment to corporate social responsibility into structured, tangible action he added.
Suzanne Daley, Partner and Head of the Family Department, has worked closely with The Owen McVeigh Foundation, a Liverpool based charity set up in 2015 in memory of 11 year old Owen McVeigh, who dies from leukemia. During the launch event she spoke about her experiences of the impact charity has on local communities and emphasised the Foundation’s focus on providing practical, meaningful support to those dealing with issues such as illness, addiction, grief, financial hardship, disability, and social mobility.
The launch of the foundation is a ‘commitment to supporting those in need and making a positive difference in the North West and beyond’ say the firm, who are encouraging supporters to get involved through donations, fundraising, or just spreading the word. The Foundation will provide awards and grants, with plenty of volunteering opportunities to get involved.
