The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has obtained a freezing injunction from the High Court as a result of concerns that money due to Chambers Solicitors, formerly of 37 Grattan Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD1 2LU, is being diverted to other law firms who may not be entitled to the money. This follows the SRA announcement on 7th December, that it had closed the practice down through an intervention.
If any law firm, insurer or other party was dealing with Chambers, and are now asked to deal with a new law firm and to send money to that law firm in relation to costs for work done by Chambers Solicitors, they should check the position further with the SRA’s Intervention Agent. This is:

The injunction freezes all monies held by, on behalf of, or to the order of Mohammed Ayub or his practice as Chambers Solicitors, in connection with his practice, including, but not limited to, any sums of money paid by third parties in respect of legal services carried out by Mohammed Ayub or his practice.
