Building Safety Act Forum, 14th December 3pm

Throughout 2023, Stewart Title has run a series of Webinars and Property Forums for lawyers. Attendees raised questions in all of the sessions with one topic dominating the discussions; the Building Safety Act 2022.

“We had over 1,200 registrants for one of our Webinars on the BSA which told us that the topic was of concern for many lawyers,”

said Stephen Smith, Country Manager for Stewart Title’s UK Operations

“When we opened the floor to questions, we heard from firms that they were turning away leasehold work because they felt unable to safely advise clients on the implications of the Act.”

With this in mind, Stewart Title is running another BSA Forum on Thursday 14 December at 3pm when property expert Ian Quayle of IQ Legal Training will be joined by Fiona Cudworth-Elks, Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).

“We are grateful that Fiona has agreed to join Ian at this Forum to highlight the ways in which the DLUHC is able to help lawyers,”

Smith concluded.

At the Forum, Ian will be looking at some of the questions and issues raised over the past year and anyone wanting to ask questions can submit them beforehand to Robert Kelly at robert.kelly@stewart.com.

The Forum will be recorded and everyone who registers will get a recording afterwards.
