With National Conveyancing Week now underway, the British Conveyancing Awards 2023, sponsored by Groundsure, are now just one day away.
The awards first ran as an online only event in 2020 to highlight the efforts of the conveyancing industry throughout the pandemic and SDLT exemption. The second event was hosted in the heart of Westminster with an audience of 300 in attendance alongside nearly 500 watching the online.
To accommodate demand, the 2023 event has relocated to the fabulous 8 Northumberland Avenue, just off Trafalgar Square. Tomorrow, an audience of over 400 practitioners will come together to recognise and celebrate the superheroes of the conveyancing industry.
Although in person tickets are now sold out, you can still join the online live stream and celebrate the great and the good of the conveyancing profession. Register here for your FREE live stream ticket.
Alongside Headline Sponsor Groundsure and Networking Sponsor Taylor Rose MW, the awards are proud to be associated with The Conveyancing Foundation’s “Be Kind We Care” and #sharethelove campaigns. The Foundation will also be in attendance on the night raising funds for their “Conveyancing Earthquake Appeal” in aid of those suffering in Syria and Turkey. The prize draw will include an opportunity to win prizes kindly donated by sponsors of the awards, and a £500 cash lotto draw in the month of March. Lloyd Davies, Chairman of the Conveyancing Foundation, said:
“The Foundation’s Earthquake Appeal Charity Raffle was launched to help to raise thousands of pounds for the estimated 23 million people who have been directly impacted by the Turkey – Syria earthquakes, and urgently need aid to survive.
Thank you to David and Today’s Conveyancer for choosing the Conveyancing Foundation as their Charity Partner for the British Conveyancing Awards for a second year, and for their continued support.
All of the money raised at the awards will go to the DEC Turkey – Syria humanitarian appeal. Attendees at the event can buy their prize draw ticket at the Conveyancing Foundation’s stand or by visiting the website. Please give generously and ask everyone around you to get involved! Every single penny goes to this fantastic cause.
I would like to thank our Sponsors for their incredible support and for donating thousands of pounds worth of wonderful prizes to the charity prize draw.
Together, we can make a significant difference to the people in Turkey and Syria who desperately need our support at this impossible time.”
The awards are taking place during National Conveyancing Week which gets underway today. More information about National Conveyancing Week, and bookings, can be found here.
Tomorrow morning, the Home Buying and Selling Group will be hosting an “Up Front Information Roadshow” at 8 Northumberland Avenue. The intention of the presentation is to identify which prescribed documents would have to be reviewed to identify the Material Information which must be provided on advertising a property.
Stakeholders from across the industry are invited to join in the panel discussion chaired by Bold Legal Group’s Rob Hailstone to discuss how to work together to help produce the Up Front Information to identify the material Information to be advertised on the property adverts and know where they can get hold of it to provide the right advice for a potential buyer. The panel will consist of Beth Rudolf, Glynis Frew, Ana Bajri, Rob Sinclair, and Jon Horton. Questions will be collated from attendees and presented to the panel as part of the discussion.
You can book your FREE ticket to come along and contribute to the discussion here. If you can’t join in person you can watch the live stream and participate here.
