Bold Legal Group respond to proposed Conveyancing Standards Bill

The Bold Legal Group Online Forum now has 2,000 registered users

Rob Hailstone, founder and CEO of the Bold Legal Group (BLG) reflected on the growth and collaborative spirit that have defined BLG since its inception 15 years ago. Hailstone took this mission further by creating an online members’ forum, which has since grown to over 2,000 active participants.

This forum has become a hub where conveyancers of all experience levels connect daily to discuss topics of all kinds.  He expresses his gratitude to the BLG membership:

“Fifteen years ago, I founded BLG, which has grown to include 700 member firms and thousands of recipients of our weekly bulletins. About four years ago, I decided to set up an online members’ forum so that our community could exchange ideas, ask questions, and discuss challenges in a private, secure space. It took some time to reach a meaningful number of users, so to now have 2,000 members on the forum is extremely rewarding.
The forum members address a range of topics daily, from straightforward questions to some of the most complex issues imaginable.

Recent discussions have covered subjects like the Building Safety Act, a missing Deed of Covenant, an ‘informal loan’ from a buyer’s mother, and Gifts under an Enduring Power of Attorney. Every single day (yes weekends included), members post something of value for conveyancers at every level, from beginners to seasoned professionals. What truly impresses me is the time and effort the forum’s registered users put in to help each other, even sharing precedents to aid one another. The speed within which the contributors discussed and clarified the recent SDLT changes was phenomenal.

In addition to the BLG members with front line conveyancing experience, I would also like to publicly thank the compliance and SDLT experts who contribute so generously, as well as HMLR for assistance provided whenever needed. Thank you all.”
