Deadline for entry to The British Conveyancing Awards 2023, sponsored by Groundsure, is midnight tonight, with final submissions due one week from today on 19th December at midnight. 2023 sees an expanded programme with 22 categories and entrants able to apply for up to 3x categories.
Run by Today’s Media, the publishers of Today’s Conveyancer, the categories and criteria have been carefully tailored to reflect the changing face of conveyancing and the challenges that lie ahead. Today’s Media MD David Opie said:
“Today’s Conveyancer continues to report on the uncertainty in the property market but the one surety is that transaction volumes will not continue to be as high as they have been for the last two years.
This normalisation means that conveyancers will have to be more sales focussed in 2023 to win work, which in turn means they need to be thinking about how they present themselves to home movers and what differentiators they can use to demonstrate their expertise. This could be reviews platforms and testimonials, helpful blogs and articles on websites, social media, accreditations and awards.”
To date, a record number of entries have been submitted, and in January the expert panel of judges will review the submissions. Winners will be announced live at the awards ceremony on 21st March 2023 at 8 Northumberland Avenue, simultaneously live streamed via The British Conveyancing Awards website.

In a departure from traditional ceremonies, the format of the event enables extensive and dedicated networking opportunities for attendees alongside celebrating the success of the industry. The awards ceremony will be hosted from 5pm – 6.30pm before a dedicated Networking Reception sponsored by Taylor Rose MW. Dinner will follow before an After Party until the early hours.
The awards will take place during National Conveyancing Week; a week of events designed to raise the profile of conveyancing across the property industry. Throughout National Conveyancing Week, the industry will come together to inform, educate, assist, and motivate the homemoving industry to see that conveyancers are “undervalued, underappreciated and misunderstood”. Following the revelation that 33% of practitioners are actively looking at leaving the industry in the next five years, now more than ever the industry must demonstrate its value.
