Awards season continues…

This time of year seems to have become a relentless churn of awards, but amongst all the gloom and slowing of the market for winter its good to celebrate some conveyancing successes ….
Optima Legal is one of the largest remortgage providers to lenders in the country and specialises in property and secured debt recovery services for the lending market.
Many conveyancers will know of Optima because it acts for lenders in chasing late or delayed registrations.  Others will know of Optima from their involvement and association with the Conveyancing Association and in particular the work of David Duckworth.
Few will be aware of its work that has led it to winning this award in particular its Title Rectification Service software programme that carries out due diligence with the Land Registry. This checks whether the lender’s interests were registered correctly. On suspicion of fraud, Optima can identify certain triggers or identifiers which mean that the case will be flagged as warranting further investigations
The Mortgage Finance Gazette also reports that:
“The firm consistently achieves excellent customer service results from its client questionnaires – at least a 98 per cent satisfaction rate with service, punctual in responding to calls and correspondence, friendly service, quick and effective in resolving problems, keeping clients informed and stickling to deadlines. It was one of the first firms to introduce internal staff pre-screening programme and was an early adopter in the legal sector of Treating Customers Fairly.”
Fidler and Pepper have also been awarded an honour.  We aren’t sure if we missed this first time around or whether we have only just received their newsletter but we hope it is better late than never. Back on the 7th October LawNet’s award for best practice, management, client service and innovation was presented to Mark Slade a partner at the Mansfield firm by Michael Portillo
Mark says. "We are all thrilled; this is the second time we have been honoured with this award the last was in 2009 for our IPhone web applications.  It shows the continuing hard work that goes into maintaining and developing our website for the benefit of our clients and also shows our commitment to the quality of our online services. The recognition from LawNet reinforces and confirms our reputation for being one of the leaders in online legal technology in the UK today."
