Conveyancing support company ASAP has selected Crisis as the new beneficiary of donations to its Front Door Friday campaign, which invites conveyancers and clients to donate £1 or more from every transaction.
Previous beneficiary The Samaritans received over £29,000 from the campaign over three years, and ASAP hopes to raise over £10,000 for Crisis this year.
ASAP selected Crisis as the new recipient of the donations after the team were asked for suggestions – and the resounding response was to support people experiencing homelessness.
Richard Megson, MD at ASAP, explained:
“As a company that helps thousands of home movers complete their sale, it makes sense for us to try to support those who do not have that basic necessity of a guaranteed roof over their head. Whether you’re an estate agent, solicitor, mortgage broker buyer or seller, making a donation on the completion of a purchase could make a real difference.”

The charitable team at ASAP will also be raising money for Breast Cancer Now in June, when Jamie Taylor, Amelia Wright, Liberty Sykes, Natasha Delaney and Sibh Megson take part in the Women in Estate Agency Lake Distict Ultra challenge. The 29 kilometre walk through the Cumbria countryside is being held in memory of WiEA committee member Sarah Edmundson.
