A new AI operating system for the conveyancing sector promises to enable AI adoption alongside firms’ existing technology infrastructure and case management systems.
ClearPathOS, developed by ClearPath AI, understands the context surrounding a matter, case or transaction, its developers promise, with specialist AI capabilities that can “undertake research and reasoning… coordinate workflows, communicate with professionals and clients, and maintain context around what has happened, what is happening and what needs to happen next”.
Rudi Kesic, the UK legal technology entrepreneur behind ClearPath AI, explained: “The opportunity with AI is enormous, but firms aren’t going to replace years of investment in technology overnight simply because something new has arrived.
“We’ve built ClearPath so a firm can start using it alongside the systems it already has and get value from it immediately.”
Kesic added: “The interesting question isn’t simply whether AI can draft a document, summarise a file or answer a legal question. It is whether AI can understand the matter, the property, the client, the documents, the data, the people involved… and then help get that work done.
“That’s what ClearPathOS does.”
The launch of ClearPath AI follows a pre-seed funding round that attracted backing of £1 million. The company has 20 people involved in product and commercial development, with a “significant” UK commercial operation set to be established in Birmingham, alongside an existing technology operation in Ljbuljana, Slovenia.

A new legal practice management platform built for small and mid-sized firms has been launched by a Newcastle solicitor.
Adjurn was created by Turkish lawyer Can Canko, who became an attorney at law in 2011 and has run his own law firm since 2012. He moved the firm to Newcastle in 2023, when he was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales.
The platform brings matters, time recording, billing, compliance and document management into one system, which utilises a dual AI engine that draws on both Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
“Every piece of software I used as a solicitor had hundreds of functions nobody in the firm ever touched, and the few you actually needed were buried three menus deep”, Canko said of his inspiration to build the platform.
“You pay for 100 buttons and use nine. I was not just using these systems, I was the one signing the invoices for them. Nobody outside the profession was ever going to fix it, so I built it myself.”
The SRA’s rules are encoded within the platform, Canko explained, which includes automatic time capture for Windows and Mac, 300 matter-specific forms for client intake, compliance registers, client account ledger, electronic signature and client portal, messaging and calling inside the platform, and matters, billing and invoicing connected end to end.
