Conveyancing teams welcome new members and celebrate strong profits

Conveyancing teams in firms across the country are welcoming new members and celebrating strong growth.

A combination of acquisitions and strong organic growth across Staffordshire and Shropshire have helped Midlands-based law firm Talbots Law increase revenues by £11 million.

The firm, which operates nationally from its 19 offices across the Black Country, Birmingham, Cheshire, Coventry, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, saw turnover rise to £41m in 2025.

The Midlands’ first employee-owned law started its expansion with the acquisition of Onions and Davies in Market Drayton and continued with the purchase of Tinsdills Solicitors, a four-office practice headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent. Talbots also completed the acquisition of Benussi & Co in the final part of its business year.

Dave Hodgetts, CEO of Talbots Law, said 2025 was a defining year in the firm’s recent history. He added: “A pipeline of acquisitions continues to progress, with each one bringing either a new geographic presence or enhanced capability in a specific area of law.

“Crucially, all share our values and commitment to delivering trusted legal advice to local people and businesses through the vehicle of an employee-owned business.”
