MSB Solicitors has relocated its Birmingham operations to a larger office in Chamberlain Square and is recruiting for its property team in the city.
“We are delighted to expand our operations in Birmingham following the recruitment to our family, crime and social housing teams and ahead of the appointments of our new property and litigation teams too,” managing partner Emma Carey (main picture) said.
“The core principle of MSB Solicitors is ‘justice for all’ and our new office will help us achieve this for the communities we serve even further on a national scale.”
In Cumbria, law firm Thomson Hayton Winkley has appointed Nina Hood (right) as its new head of residential property.
Bringing more than 25 years’ experience, most recently at Ratcliffe & Bibby in Morecambe, Hood is joined at THW by her assistant, Sasha Miller.
Hood said: “I am keen to combine my experience with a forward-thinking approach, including embracing technology to continually improve how we work and the service we deliver.”

THW, which has a 60-strong team, is headquartered in Kendal with offices in Windermere, Kirkby Lonsdale and the J36 Rural Auction Centre in Crooklands.
CLSQ, a data company for the property and legal sectors, has appointed Claire Elliot (left) as business development manager for law firms across the North of England.
In her new role, Elliot will help promote CLSQ’s legal indemnity insurance (LII) and estate administration services.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience to CLSQ, having held senior positions at Property Information Exchange, tmGroup and Longmere Land.
Elliot said: “I’m delighted to be joining CLSQ at such an exciting time for the business. CLSQ has a strong reputation for combining specialist expertise, underwriting and technology to help law firms manage risk more effectively.”

Managing director at OneSearch Direct (OSD), Elizabeth Jarvis, has joined The Council of Property Search Organisations (CoPSO) Executive.
Jarvis brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having been at OSD for 30 years.
