The British Conveyancing Awards, sponsored by Groundsure, has crowed its 2026 winners at a glitzy ceremony hosted at Manchester Cathedral on Thursday night.
Big winners on the night included Rowlinsons Solicitors, AVRillo, TV Edwards Solicitors, and InfoTrack. Like the music industry’s BRIT Awards before it, 2026 marked the first year the British Conveyancing Awards has been hosted outside of London.
In its sixth year, the BCAs welcomed 450 conveyancers and professionals from around the property sector in a night that saw 32 separate firms, individuals and organisations recognised for their commitment to service, technical excellence and customer focus. The sell-out audience was also treated to an unexpected spectacle; the incredible light show Luminiscence, an art installation currently housed at Manchester Cathedral.
The always hotly contested opening category of the night, the Best Place to Work, sponsored by Orbital, was won by Myerson Solicitors, with Howell Jones recognised as Highly Commended. In a new category for 2026, Wilson Browne took home the Commercial Property Team of the Year sponsored by Search Acumen, with Rowlinsons Highly Commended – in what would become the first of three successes on the night for the Cheshire based firm.
Fidler and Pepper was awarded New Build Conveyancing Team of the Year sponsored by Move Reports, closely followed by PLS Solicitors; while TV Edwards and Swiitch secured the Residential Property Team of the Year, Boutique (sponsored by LEAP) and Large (sponsored by PEXA) respectively.
In the individual categories, Rowlinsons secured their second success of the night with director and head of property Tom Parkinson recognised as Partner of the Year sponsored by Thirdfort. Duane Bridger of Bridger’s Law Ltd was Highly Commended. Victoria Pollington of Birketts pipped Katie Ward of Band Hatton Button to the coveted Conveyancer of the Year sponsored by CILEX; and in the up and coming ‘One to Watch’ category sponsored by InfoTrack, Clare Gardner of SE-Solicitors was recognised alongside Highly Commended Diane Chambers of Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand LLP.
After three years of success, Perfect Portal brought InfoTrack’s hat-trick of titles to an end in the Supplier of the Year category, sponsored by the Society of Licensed Conveyancers; but InfoTrack’s delegates on the night were not to be denied their moment in the spotlight for long, winning the Innovators of the Year – Suppliers category sponsored by Stewart Title, with Orbital Highly Commended.
Talbots Law and TV Edwards secured the Conveyancing Firm of the Year awards in the Midlands and Wales (sponsored by Ochresoft) and South (sponsored by Searchflow) categories respectively, with Landsmiths Solicitors and AVRillo Highly Commended.
Taking the top prize, Conveyancing Direct Property Lawyers took home the Conveyancing Firm of the Year – National (sponsored by Landmark) award, narrowly beating Leading Property Lawyers (LPL) to the title.
But the night belonged to Rowlinsons, who followed up their success in the Partner category with a win in the Conveyancing Firm of the Year – North (sponsored by OneSearch) category, beating jointly Highly Commended RG Law & Paul Crowley & Co Solicitors; before walking away with the final prize of the night, the Conveyancing Excellence Award sponsored by Minerva, the submission which in the view of the judging panel was the most compelling and highest scoring.
Expertly hosted by comedian, television personality and impressionist Jon Culshaw, the audience was treated to the full array of Culshaw’s caricatures from Donald Trump and Boris Johnson, to Professor Brian Cox and, King Charles, before guests were treated to fantastic evening entertainment, courtesy of Prelude and Afterglow Sponsors, LMS, into the small hours of the morning.
