National conveyancing firms, Taylor Rose and Shoosmiths have announced updates to their brand and leadership respectively.
Following the acquisition of McMillan Williams Solicitors Limited in May 2020 CEO Adrian Jaggard last week announced the two firms would unify under one brand.
Already established as a top 75 law firm, the firm’s decision to bring together the combined brand equity as Taylor Rose MW is described as “the next step in their ambitious growth strategy.”
Commenting on the acquisition, Adrian Jaggard, CEO of Taylor Rose,

We have plans to modernise our nationwide offices, providing contemporary workplaces for our people and clients for when we return to normal.

The pace of growth has been demanding at times, but it is market leading.
He concluded

The firm has 32 offices nationwide covering Cumbria to Sussex with headquarters in London and Peterborough with a business model covering owned offices and employed staff, alongside a consultant solicitor programme.
Meanwhile, national firm Shoosmiths has announced that Suman Dally will take over from David Parton as Head of Conveyancing from 1st May 2021.
Suman will be taking the reins of the £9.2m turnover practice which currently deals with some of the UK’s largest estate agents, banking institutions, developers, mortgage lenders and the government legal department, dealing with all types of residential conveyancing matters including the sale and purchase of houses, flats, new build homes, part exchange, relocation, shared ownership, Help to Buy, unregistered land, transfers of equity, lease extensions, auction sales and re-mortgage work.
Commenting on the appointment Suman says:

David Parton has led Shoosmiths’ conveyancing team since 1997 during which time he has also been an adviser to the Law Society and UK Mortgage Finance and been technical chair of the Conveyancing Association. The firm has also announced that David shall be heading-up the firm’s Personal Advisory division, taking over from partner Richard Follis who is to become the firm’s first General Counsel.
