On Monday 9th January, the option to enquire about an Electronic Notification of Discharge (END) using the Land Registry Business e-services portal will be removed.
The tool for lenders to transmit these notifications was removed in January 2010. Existing notifications however – where an application to discharge the charge had not been received – continued to be kept in Land Registry records.
In the time since this occurred, the ENDs enquiry option became redundant and will therefore no longer be maintained.
