BREAKING NEWS: Stamp Duty abolished for FTBs on properties up to £300k

Stamp duty for first-time buyers purchasing homes worth up to £300,000 has been abolished.

Delivering the Autumn Budget, Chancellor Philip Hammond has announced the abolition of the tax in a bid to help those trying to get on the housing ladder.

For those buying a home worth up to £500,000, Hammond also announced that they will not have to pay stamp duty on the first £300,000. He stated that this measure is to help those in high-priced areas such as London.
