The SRA has issued a warning to that there are just 28 days remaining for firms and individuals to complete this year’s PC renewals exercise.
They say that less than a fifth of the regulated community has created or submitted an application.
The deadline for PC renewals is Thursday, 31 October.
The revocation process will commence in November with the SRA taking a tough line against those who have failed to renew or pay their fees.
Service levels have been improved in the SRA’s contact centre meaning that average wait times are 60 second and 94% of calls have been answered on the PC renewals lines since 16th September.
Tina Till, Head of the Contact Centre, SRA, said: "We have done a great deal of work within the Contact Centre over the past six months to provide the regulated community with the best service we can.
“Activity on our phone lines is obviously going to increase as the deadline for PC renewals approaches so we want to encourage callers with PC queries to call sooner rather than later."
