A specialist legal recruiter has launched a self-serve hiring platform for UK law firms.
Surrey-based recruitment firm VacantC has launched what it describes as “a complete recruitment operating system built exclusively for UK law firms”.
The platform, VacantC Go, costs £250 a month and includes a branded careers page, an AI-powered applicant tracking system, a Kanban pipeline, GDPR compliance tools, a candidate CRM, hiring analytics, and crAlg, an AI assistant that generates interview questions, CV match scores, and 90-day onboarding plans on demand.
Craig Taylor, founder of VacantC & VacantC GO, said: “After years working at the sharp end of the UK legal sector, I’ve seen the same problem play out at firm after firm. Recruitment agencies charge between 15 and 20 per cent of a candidate’s salary – anywhere from £15,000 to £30,000 per hire for a qualified solicitor.
“Most practices accept this as an unavoidable cost of doing business. I built VacantC GO because I believe law firms deserve more options than that… We built VacantC GO because we believe law firms should be able to choose how they recruit – not be forced into a single model by a lack of affordable alternatives.
“Some roles call for expert headhunting. Others are perfectly manageable in-house, if the firm has the right tools.”
