LFS regional Seminars off to a flying start

19 Law firms attended the first LFS regional seminars held in Leeds last Wednesday. The seminars are an extension of the main LFS Conference & Awards held in September. There has been glowing feedback from those that attended who found the speakers informative and in some cases entertaining.
Speakers included Tracey Carr and Andrew Winfield of Santander who resolved several firms panel issues on the day. They also gave a deeper insight into Santander’s policies and their reasoning. Interestingly one of the points that came out, was the Santander have no panel issues or problems with Licensed Conveyancing Firms and have no thoughts about introducing CQS type restrictions onto the Licensed Conveyancer community. This is because there is a vastly reduced history of fraud or negligence with Licenced Conveyancers compared to Solicitors.
Other speakers included,  a wakeup call from David Gilroy of Conscious Solutions, about the need to embrace digital marketing or be left behind, and an eye opening insight into compensation claims as a result of the new HS2 route by Mark Bently of Paul Carr Estate Agents.
There are a couple of spaces left on the next LFS seminar in Bristol on 15th May and you can book at www.lfsconference.co.uk
