SmartSearch strengthens partnership with Twenty7tec by expanding ID verification services

SmartSearch is expanding its services by growing its longstanding relationship with Twenty7tec.

The UK’s leading provider of digital compliance and anti-money-laundering (AML) solutions is accelerating its integration within Twenty7tec’s ADVICE platform, introducing SmartDoc – SmartSearch’s innovative document and facial recognition technology, powered by Daon.

Already serving advisers, lenders and providers across mortgages, protection and wealth, the new update will strengthen SmartSearch’s compliance toolkit, bringing it onto one unified platform to deliver faster, more secure and smarter client verification, without the need to switch between systems.

The technology uses facial recognition and AI-driven checks to confirm a client’s identity from their ID and selfie, helping firms securely verify more than 200 types of official identification documents across over 200 countries, while detecting potential fraud in real time.

Through this enhanced service, customers will benefit from instant electronic identity and AML checks which deliver pass rates of up to 97% and complete in seconds, allowing professionals to onboard clients quickly while remaining fully compliant with evolving regulatory requirements.

“Our relationship with Twenty7tec is about making compliance simpler, smarter and more efficient for financial advisers and lenders,” said Kerry Cleary, partnership director at SmartSearch.

“Bringing SmartDoc into this collaboration means firms can focus on their clients, knowing the checks behind the scenes are quick, accurate and fully compliant.”

Nathan Reilly, commercial director from Twenty7tec, said:

“Building on our existing AML integration with SmartSearch to also leverage the SmartDoc capability, which will offer advice firms an extra level of KYC / AML surety through an efficient and tech enabled end user journey, was a no brainer.

“As compliance threats become more sophisticated, it was important to deliver this functionality with a partner that is trusted, and prides itself on its data and accuracy, which is why we selected SmartSearch.’’
