Giving it back award

Conveyancers championing charity, giving and wellbeing

It was wonderful to see conveyancers being recognised for championing charity, giving and wellbeing at this year’s Modern Law Conveyancing Awards.

Our objective at the Conveyancing Foundation is to enhance the lives of those working in the conveyancing industry and we hope that our commitment to wellbeing best practice is starting to pay dividends in our industry. We have come a long way since the Be Kind We Care initiative and our first Wellbeing at Work Survey four years ago.

Congratulations to the Mental Health & Wellbeing Award nominees Convey Law, Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, Stephenson’s, and Thomas Flavell & Sons Solicitors); highly commended AVRillo LLP; and the award winner, Evolve Law, for championing the cause!

In 2026, we are excited to announce that both of our Conveyancing Foundation online collaborative industry events are being extended from a week to a month to ensure maximum engagement, with National Conveyancing Month taking place in March and Wellbeing at Work Month in October. Our Wellbeing Excellence at Work Survey will also launch in March 2026.

Giving It Back Award

The following legal practices are leading the way in relation to charity fundraising and giving through the Conveyancing Foundation Charity Lotto, with Wilson Nesbit Solicitors, Sam Hawking Property Lawyers, Shared Direction, BTMK and Convey Law having raised over £80,000 for their chosen charities so far this year and just shy of £1.3 million over the last 10 years.

The 15 Conveyancing Foundation Charity Grant recipients have enjoyed donations of over £12,000 since 2023, with conveyancers and property professionals running, sky diving, cycling and trekking for their favourite charities.

Thank you to our wonderful charity partners, without whom we would not be able to undertake our work and who have contributed over £65,000 in sponsoring our charity, collaboration, and caring initiatives over the last ten years.

Congratulations to the Giving It Back Modern Law Conveyancing Award Nominees Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors, Birchall Blackburn Law, Convey Law, Stephensons, and Thomas Flavell & Sons Solicitors; highly commended MSB Solicitors; and award winner Oliver & Co Solicitors for your fantastic charity and giving endeavours.

Conveyancing Foundation co-chair Jess Smith commented:

“It is wonderful to see such recognition for those championing charity, giving and wellbeing in our industry.  Giving back is a wonderful, shared experience which facilitates a great sense of teamwork, camaraderie and belonging, and not to mention is also good for the soul!  Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information or to discuss how we can perhaps help you with your charity or wellbeing initiatives.”
