The Movera group has created a dedicated Know Your Client (KYC) team to support conveyancers, in response to feedback from fee earners.
The new team will manage all source of funds processing across the group’s two legal practices, ONP Solicitors and Cavendish Legal Group. It will be led by Natalie Brown, deputy money laundering reporting officer (MLRO) at Movera (pictured) who has over 11 years’ experience with the business.
Movera says that every member of the new team brings extensive financial sector experience and that investment in technology from client due diligence platform Thirdfort will ensure clients are protected and regulatory obligations met.

“For many of our lawyers, investigating source of funds can be a challenging distraction.
“Introducing a KYC team has transformed the transaction process, allowing lawyers to focus prioritising their clients’ transactions and completions while our KYC handlers make light work of the source of funds process.”

Movera’s companies include two conveyancing firms and a number of panel management brands. With its oldest business dating back to 1863, it was rebranded from ONP Group in 2023.
