Success of inaugural Sort Ball will see it become annual event

Guests from across the property and finance sectors enjoyed a musical line up featuring Heather Small and the Bootleg Beatles at Manchester’s Albert Hall last week, as part of the inaugural Sort Ball.

Hosted by Sort Group, a national provider of property, legal and financial services, the 250 conveyancers, solicitors, surveyors and data providers from across the UK took part in the evening of celebration informal networking. Following the night’s success, Sort Group has plans to make the ball an annual celebration of the sector.

‘We were absolutely thrilled with the turnout for our first ever Sort Ball’, said managing director Keith Ahmed.

“We wanted to create something different – a night that celebrates the people behind the industry and gives everyone a chance to enjoy themselves whilst strengthening professional connections.

“The feedback has been incredible, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”

The night began with a canapé and drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner and live performances from M People’s Heather Small and tribute band the Bootleg Beatles. North-east radio station Affinity Radio broadcast their show live from the event, sharing interviews and highlights with listeners across the region.

Commenting on the success of the event, Sort Group CEO Kevin Tunnicliffe said:

“The Sort Ball exceeded all our expectations. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces in one room, all coming together to celebrate collaboration within the property industry.

“The event would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, including Enable Home Surveying (silver sponsor), and Mortgage Advice Bureau, Dual Asset, and Searchflow (bronze sponsors). Our thanks go out to them for all their support.”
