Napthens joins Conveyancing Quality Scheme

The Lancashire Law firm Napthens has been accepted as a member of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), the Law Society scheme to provide a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing firms.
Membership of the CQS means that the firm has offering high standards, good practice in management, efficient conveyancing procedures and a high quality of staff.  It also marks firms out as having high quality customer service.
Firms applying for membership undergo a strict application process with the Law Society.  The  CQS involving assessment, training, audits and annual reviews.
The CQS has support from leading industry bodies including the CML, Land Registry, Building Societies Association and Association of British Insurers.  Yesterday the HSBC changed its lending panel policy from a very limited panel of 43 firms to allow all firms with CQS membership to act on a joint representation basis for them.
Sarah Barnes, Head of Residential Property at Napthens commented:
“As a member of the CQS, Napthens is part of a trusted community of conveyancing practitioners dedicated to a high level of service and to combating fraud.
“This standard will become increasingly important for the industry in the future, with many large insurance companies already expecting legal advisors working with them to have the membership in place.
“Consumers looking for a conveyancing solicitor can be reassured by the CQS mark that we have been judged by an independent industry body to be upholding the highest possible standards both in our legal practices and in our customer services.”
