Yorkshire Building Society have chosen Optima Legal to power their new product range of legal fee assistance, with various fixed rate products on offer for a 2 year fixed deal. The offering also includes 3, 4 and 5 year fixed rates.
Speaking on behalf of Optima Legal, David Duckworth commented:
“We are delighted to have been chosen by the Society as its recommended Conveyancer on certain products for their customers across mainland UK. Our volume capability and multi-jurisductional competence enable us to provide this unique service. This reflects the trend that Lenders will increasingly be using and recommending suppliers they “know” as required by the FSA.”
This is yet another example of lenders trying to regain some control over the risks associated with mortgage fraud. Whilst the borrower retains a choice, the sheer cost of fees assisted borrowing will be attractive to borrowers looking to keep moving costs to a minimum.
