The Movera group has announced senior hires in two of its UK companies and is searching for experienced conveyancers to join a fast-growing team in Cardiff. ONP Solicitors has appointed Amy Colton as senior operations manager to head up the firm’s newly launched Cardiff office, while Mark Richards has been promoted to sales director at Conveyance Alliance Limited (CAL).
Richards joined CAL in 2020 as area director, establishing the company’s presence across Wales and the South West of England and growing the broker base to 500 in just four years. In his new role, Richards will lead the CAL team of area directors with his ‘deep industry expertise and a track record of delivering commercial and cultural impact’.
Richards said of the new position:
“CAL’s journey in recent years has been extraordinary, and I’m proud to have played a part in that growth. As sales director, my focus will be on supporting and developing our people in order to accelerate our expansion, listening closely to the needs of our brokers and estate agents, and delivering a service so strong that working with CAL becomes an easy and enduring decision.”
CAL CEO Mark Tosetti added:
“Mark’s passion for people, performance and progress makes him an exceptional fit for this role. His success in building our presence in a previously untapped region is a testament to his leadership and vision. I’m confident he will help us reach new heights as we continue to evolve and strengthen our offer to brokers and partners across the UK.”
Colton, a qualified solicitor since 2010, brings over a decade of leadership experience in residential conveyancing to ONP. Her priority, she says, is recruiting experienced conveyancers ‘who are excited by the opportunity to shape a new office and bring energy and expertise to a fast-growing firm’.
‘In the early days, Amy is laser-focused on hand-picking the right people to form the foundation of a high-performing, positive work environment,’ said ONP.
“Her immediate recruitment drive is centred on experienced conveyancers – individuals with a solid grounding who are excited by the prospect of growing a new team and culture from scratch.”
Amy commented:
“I wanted to come back to Cardiff – to be in a city I know and love – and do something meaningful. Setting up a new office from scratch is rare in this industry. This isn’t just about processes and productivity – it’s about people.
“I’m looking for people who are driven, client-focused, and thrive in a team setting. It’s not just about technical skill – it’s about attitude, collaboration, and shared ambition. I’m here to build a strong, collaborative, happy team who love coming to work and who deliver incredible service as a result.”
Amy says her leadership style is rooted in fairness, openness, and long-term investment in people. She added:
“Someone once took the time to invest in me, and now I get to pay that forward. At ONP and Movera, we believe in career pathways, clear development, and giving people the tools to grow. That’s what sets us apart – we’re building something that lasts.”
Warren Martin, director of operations at ONP Solicitors, said of Amy’s appointment:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Amy to the business. Her passion for people and proven leadership in conveyancing make her the ideal person to lead our Cardiff launch. This office represents a significant step in our growth journey, and under Amy’s direction, we’re confident it will become a centre of excellence for both client service and team development.”
